OUR WHY
Building a stronger community through FUN, FAITH and FITNESS is what drives The 806 Classic. By supporting Mission 2540 and their mission to provide after school programs for children in Amarillo’s neediest neighborhoods. Mission 2540 has partnered with CrossFit 806 and Mayhem Missions to host 10 successful annual fitness competitions and raised countless dollars for Mission 2540. Proceeds from the 806 Classic go to help expand the reach of Mission 2540 throughout the Texas panhandle.
ABOUT US
HISTORY OF THE 806 CLASSIC
In 2004, Amarillo native Brooks Boyett started Mission 2540 when he saw a need to provide after school programs for children in Amarillo’s neediest neighborhoods. In order to help grow Mission 2540, Brooks combined his love of fitness and community to create Feed, Clothe, Love & Lift in 2014. Over the years, Mission 2540 has partnered CrossFit 806 with Mayhem Missions to host 10 successful annual fitness competitions and raised countless dollars for Mission 2540. This success paired with a desire to establish Amarillo as a top fitness destination lead to the birth of the 806 Classic in 2023. All our proceeds from the 806 Classic go to help expand the reach of Mission 2540 throughout the Texas panhandle.
